I'm not into the rules of hockey and contracts etc... but I heard this AM that Jonathan had agreed to term with the Bruins and will forego his 2 final yeas at BGSU?
Was this expected?
I wish the Sigalets luck with the Bruins, but leaving after your sophomore year... is that wise??

Re: Jonathan Sigalet gone??
When Jonathan was recruited, it was well known that he might only be here for two years. He really planned on staying here this year, (was already moved into an apartment in the spring), but when BOSTON drafted him and then pursued him aggressively, he felt it was an opportunity he could not pass up. Jonathan's a great young man with a good head on his shoulders, so I doubt he will give up on his degree. He will finish it somehow, somewhere. Of that, I am sure. Jonathan will have the opportunity of a lifetime to be able to play PRO HOCKEY with his brother. There is no doubt in my mind, that he will be playing up in the future. We will miss him, but know that we will hear great things about this "former Falcon" soon!!ZiggyZoomba wrote:I'm not into the rules of hockey and contracts etc... but I heard this AM that Jonathan had agreed to term with the Bruins and will forego his 2 final yeas at BGSU?

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Hockey is a sport that seems where youth is a plus. It's an extremely physical sport, and guys don't last that long compared to, say, baseball. It's pretty normal for 16 year old kids to get scouted by pro teams.

Damn that sucks. I was really looking forward to seeing Johnaton become a big time leader this year. Best of luck to him in the pros, but man I wish he was staying at least one more year. We need him. Thats' too bad.
