Kind words for Suisham (though conceding that he's auditioning for others), and a shot at Janssen, even if the author doesn't realize how long the General has been around. :?

And more Suisham notes from north of the border:

There are several NFL team hurting at PK and to not look hard him is an injustice as he is a great kicker who will be around a long time....

If I was to gaze into my crystal ball and give my guess at these guys:

Patton will be a proffessional football player for the next 5 years.

I would gamble he will not last camp in Pitt and be gone in the first cuts. He will find a home in either Canada or the ARena League.

Suisham will be a proffesional football player for the next ten-15 years if he wants to be. i would guess it will be as an early cut for Pitt. Then an invite for tryouts during the season as kickers falter or fall. Then to Europe for the offseason. Then back ina camp, then to arena legue or a roster then to Canada if he doesnt make it here. He has done as much as could be expected of him with the opportunity he has received.

TG1996, I don't suppose you read the glowing comments about the first player in the article.

Why would I do that? Though it was nice of the Steelers to sign him out of that junior college out east.

That's a matter of some pretty stretchy semantics, don't ya think? Isn't the word "rookie" defined as "first year player"? Or "player in their first year"?
