NCAA 2006 is not fun

Post by Germainfitch1 »

I have played this game for 2 seasons now.

If you play on all american you can pass all over and do whatever you want. It is too easy.

If you play on Heisman you literally can't tackle anyone and once they break your tackle you can't catch them. And on offense you fumble every time you get hit. I have been rotating games between All american and Heisman.

I smoked Boise State and Wisconsin on All American and got smoke by Ball State and Temple on Heisman.

Maybe you suck then fitch :D I've been destroying teams by a 90 point margin on Heisman. When people tackle me on runs though, it's usually from behind and I don't end up fumbling. Catching passes is something I find it hard for my guys to do. I've thrown like 14 interceptions with Omar through 8 games. Maybe that 4 number from last year makes me think he should do better.

I'm still on season 1 with BG because I don't have the time to play it that much so I have people like Jelani tackling them. I'll get burned in some deep pass plays a couple times throughout the game, but I still tear it up on offense for some reason.

I've always been able to stop the run though. The key to your problem is to not let them get to the pocket. I only run 3 defensive plays :D All blitz...hence why I get beat through the air.

after I posted this last night I tried messing with the game sliders. It seems to be helping with tackling. We shall see. I am going to start all over yet again.

Game sliders? Do you mean the AI settings? If so, that's almost like turning on the penants!

I have not idea what turning on the pennants is, But I cant tackle on Heisman and I put up 70 points on All American. It just isnt fun.

I don't have any problems with the game on heisman and neither have most of the people I know that play. i'm not sure what you're doing wrong but Temple's running back gained about 25 yards against me and I beat them 63 - 14. Pretty realistic =)

are you sure you are playing heisman? The highest level?

He hits the corner and is gone, no one can even come close to catching him. Also many times he will run right up the middle and I will hit him, he will shed my one guy and go 80 yards.

I dont have to push a button to tackle now do I?

yes on Heisman and with many of the cpu sliders turned up because it was too easy to start with. Sure guys break tackles, but usually only when they're in the zone. Otherwise it's pretty easy to play defense unless the comp is throwing it deep. Maybe you need to switch up your play calling.

You are right about the deep ball. THey always throw over me deep. No matter what team

well you're honestly wrong. my first season with BG (before BG became A+ ranked in every category) My defense gave up an average of 85 Rush YPG on Heisman. The game really isn't that difficult. I'm sorry you can't figure it out but most people I know are wrecking this game on Heisman before they turn the sliders up.

Well maybe I need to get in your club of NCAA 2006 fanatics then.

Literally I get run over and passed deep on all the time. Also the computer intercepts nearly every pass I throw that is a little off the mark.
