The majority of Massillon fans take this so seriously that they take the fun out of it. Massillon likes to think of itself at the King of Ohio HS football. And, yes, it has a huge tradition....but the Tigers haven't won a state title since 1972....they tend to live off the past.
Everyone knows Massillon has broken rules over the years...One thing I will give them credit for is they never schedule bad teams. Their sked this year is:

Dover
Mansfield Sr.
Chardon
St Ignatius
Warren Harding
Youngstown Wilson
Eastlake North
Cincinnati Elder (I think...or it's another powerful Cincinnati HS)
Canton McKinley...

and one other I can't think of right now.
That is one bad azz schedule.

The fans at our arch rival, New Philadelphia, think Dover is gonna get killed.
But this Coach Ifft is 83-23 in 10 years at Dover...he came down from Massillon Perry a decade ago. He has been wanting this game for many years...and if the gate receipts are impressive, which they should be, look for Dover to host Massillon in 2006. They are expecting a crowd of at least 15,000+.

Can't wait to get to this game. GO DOVER!!
The one school I couldn't think of is Mentor....Rob Warren and Scott Goodwin's alma mater. Also, a couple of brothers by the names of Chris and Alex Glantzis played at Mentor. :D

Damn! How did I forget about Andrew Hart being from Mentor??? We really need to get this season going. :?
GO BG!~
