Until I started visiting this website some 4 years ago I always spelled aye with the e. Guess my Scottish origins where aye is commonly spoken and spelled out as a response had me thinking of it that way. Some pirates, not of the east carolina variety, also put the e in there. . .
I brought it up on the band forum last year and with a quick look at dictionary dot com was informed that either ay or aye are accepted spellings of the word.
that's strange because I always thought that the University recognized it as ay-ziggy-zoomba and not aye-ziggy-zoomba. Hmmm. interesting. well atleast to me
And they probably don't have a big market for orange-brown-and-white hats that say "Falcon" and "BGSU."
(Kidding. I know what you meant.)

Since the athletic department took my suggestion from five years ago and finally made single game tickets available online . . . Here's another one for them . . . Keep the pressure on adidas to bring in the apparel that we see on the sidelines. I know the pullovers and polo shirts and pants are common, but why is it that we can't get the hats anymore? I bought both of the brown and black Urban hats that came out and very few have been available in either bookstore since.
It's also a crying shame that adidas doesn't make our jerseys available at all either, considering that UCLA, Tennessee, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Wisconsin are easily available at eastbay.com and other retail outlets.
Given our recent success, our "strange" name and the "odd" color scheme, we could very easily be marketed as Nike does with Gonzaga's basketball team and now Boise State's football team.
