). Piepkow practiced for the first time after injury his hamstring in the scrimmage. Cooley hasn't practiced the past few days because of a knee injury. And Pope sat out because of a nagging leg bruise.

Good point Freak. I'll take it a step further even. I was a RB and LB in high school and have to say that for myself I was 100% basically one day of the season and that was the first day of two a days. From there on out you play with bumps, bruises, cuts, tears, etc. and learn to accept them as your companions along for the season. You try to get as healthy as you can between games, but its impossible once the season gets moving. You just learn to suck it up and play with minor injuries. So rest the guys while you can before the season, becasue after the season starts there is little time to get healthy.Falconfreak90 wrote:Good news there. I think we'll be fine and ready to go come 9/3. Every team in America has a few guys that aren't 100%. I never played college ball but in high school, 2 a days sucked and all that hitting in camp takes a toll.

I played Guard on the O line and was the place kicker as well (I am no wussie...from the soccer thread. LOL).
You just dealt with it. Football is a very physical game and bumps, bruises, cuts & tears, as you said, just go along with it.
One thing I do know....I am so glad I never have to go thru any 2 a days again!
