Cole CANNOT tackle :)
Cole CANNOT tackle :)
Cole gets his first action and a dropped pass by another WR is picked off

He certainly looked bad trying to make the tackle, but at least he kept trying after the first failed attempt. The DB pushed him off like a little bug on the second try. I'm glad to see him getting some early action. Obviously helped out by Price being out, but any chance to show what he's got is good.
I wish he could have got open on the play where he was in motion. Would have been great to see a sort of replay of the winning TD from the 2003 Motor City Bowl.

I taped the game cuz I had to sit thru Dover getting spanked by Massillon, 34-0.
The Tigers were simply faster and more talented....and also a Div I school. Dover is Div III. I was proud that Dover kept playing hard but no doubt we were overmatched. And the Dover kids got the opportunity to play at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium. Their scoreboard is the EXACT same one we have at BG, Daktronics with the same video screen. Same color and style of numbers. Its quite a show there with blaring loudspeakers and fireworks. Some people tailgate with vans and flags.
Anyway, came home and FF thru the tape to when Cole was in. Not a good night but he still shows hustle and I think that will help him. Paul McGuire is an azz...every time someone makes a mistake, he points out "that isn't how you do that!" He played O line and thinks he knows how to do everything. I wish he would shut his piehole.
Hope Cole makes up for it the next game...so cool to see him on the field.

Maguire was multi-talented. Led the nation in TD receptions in 1959 and 1960 while playing TE at the Citadel. Then played linebacker and punter in the AFL/NFL.Redwingtom wrote:Actually Freak, I believe McGuire he was a punterFalconfreak90 wrote:...He played O line...![]()

Well, I certainly was wrong about his credentials. Thanks for setting the record straight, fellas.Warthog wrote:Maguire was multi-talented.
