According to the ST tonight, Josh Almanson will play pro ball in Portugal. He has signed with Bensica, and left for Lisbon Tuesday.
He gets $, a place to live, and a car.
Coach Dakich said, "He's got a contract in a vry, very good league. He's going to the best team in the best situation. He has a really, really good deal."
Josh thinks he will play both forward slots.
Best of luch to Josh in Europe.

I know that's hard to believe, so I'll repeat it: John Edwards of Kent signed a 2 year, $2.08 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks.
Any Kevin Netter sightings lately?
Just shows what 7' tall and a hard worker will get you.
SL Benfica is the best team in Portugal hands down. I follow the SL Benfica soccer team, and they are one of the tops league as well. Very good situation for him. I think he'll fit in just fine as big man that can take you inside or outisde. His outside shooting will really flourish in Europe! They love outside shooting big men. He is easily making six figures with Benfica, they have a lot of money.

"One major reason former Kent State star center John Edwards was able to land a sweet free-agent deal with the Atlanta Hawks, after spending last season with Indiana as an undrafted rookie: Edwards dominated Andrew Bogut, the No. 1 pick in the June draft, during a Summer League game, which led several impressed NBA teams to start pursuing him. Bogut became so frustrated at being clowned by Edwards that he started a fight with him. Edwards signed a two-year, $2 million-plus deal with the Hawks. "
I would say it speaks more to how big a flop Bogut will be rather than to Edwards skills.

Last time I talked to him (last home game of the season last year), he was playing in a league in the states. It was a few letters but I can't remember what they were. He mentioned playing somewhere around Virginia or W. Virgina.BleedOrange wrote:Any Kevin Netter sightings lately?
