Will Cole make the roster in Atlanta?? Doesn't look like he's doing much with his preseason audition...

He had a rough go of things this last game out, but was also coming off an injury from just days before. Until that point, he wasn't exactly "not doing much" with his audition, he was excelling and getting veterans to notice!!! He's hit a rough spot, but if he doesn't make the Falcons squad, he's gonna be one of the very last, toughest cuts to make (from the soundbites we've heard out of ATL).

And he'll likely be snapped up in a second by another team if he is cut. Don't count on that happening, though.TG1996 wrote:dobbin wrote:Doesn't look like he's doing much with his preseason audition...![]()

"In anticipation of the Tuesday, August 30, NFL mandatory cut down to the 65-player roster limit, the Atlanta Falcons announced today that seven players have been waived.
The Falcons waived veterans G Martin Bibla, FB Carey Davis, P Toby Gowin, DE Otis Grigsby, CB Christian Morton, DE John Taylor, and rookie TE Brian Casey."
Looks like he survived the first round of cuts. They didn't release any receivers though. There are 11 receivers on the roster right now so look for some major cuts there. I think he can do it though, he has the some of the best hands I've seen.

When Michael Vick tells a coach and the owner to keep a player, you can almost guarantee that Mora and the Owner are going to keep their star happy.
