Yeah it is 20-14. That would be a nice little BCS victory for EMU.

Buffalo is losing too Uconn. Big surprise

Toledo is killing WIU which is good because that team has made the MAC look bad in recent years.

EMU loses 28-26. Not sure but judging by the way the scores went they must have missed a 2 pt conversion to tie it.

UCF never gave up against S. Carolina... even though their chances of pulling anything out with 15 seconds left, down 9 and the clock running were slim and none, those officials sure took their sweet time putting the ball back in play.

Yeah, and the RG for SC was TOTALLY OFFSIDE! Convenient no-call for a BCS team with a brand new big-name head coach...

Suspicious? Methinks.

Just got back from the UH game, and let me tell you, USC will light up Oregons D. It was horrible the first quarter, and got lucky that UH didn't score a couple more times with long pass plays. But let me tell you, it was awesome to see a college game again live. Just wish I could be up there in Madison. If anyone is around the Houston area, we have a spot set up at SRO sportsbar to watch the game. It's a huge bar that the OSU alumni use. It was heartbreaking though going to the game, because Reliant is right next to the Dome, and to see all the buses going by and all the people waiting to get in was aweful. But back to the topic, THANK GOD THAT FOOTBALL IS BACK.

I actually watched most of the first half of the Toledo vs W Illinois game last night, as I had to be there on business. My guess is that there were about 15,000 there, and they were a late arriving crowd at that. Toledo's "D" looked good creating turnovers but WIU actually moved the ball pretty well but couldn't score in the first half. UT created alot of points on turnovers and special teams, and to be honest, it was hard to tell if WIU was that bad or UT was pretty good. I do know that the first TD on an interception as a VERY poorly thrown pass (weak) to the sideline. WIU was pretty much undermanned on special teams, as every punt was close to being blocked, if it wasn't. I think WIU was 4-7 in a I-AA schedule last year, so they aren't exactly a powerhouse. I thought UT offense was pretty average, but they may have been playing a pretty vanilla type game plan.
They had trouble running the ball while I was there.

Our offense definitely started slow, but once the OL started blocking things looked good. Bruce threw 2 TD passes and ran for 1 in the 2nd quarter while completing 7 of 9 passes in that quarter.

It is hard to evaluate from this game because you don't know how bad WIU was.

As for attendance, when the game started I would say there was 15K there. I went up to the stadium when they were doing the national anthem and the tailgating was still in full force. However, about half way through the 1st quarter it filled up decently and there was a good 20K there. Not a great crowd at all, but much more than 15K. The student section was packed. There were more students then seats available. They were standing in the aisles and they went from the 20 yard line all the way through the end zone and then even packed some students into the upper level. There was probably 10K of students alone, so 15K is not very accurate for the crowd.

Official attendance was marked at 20,092 and I actually thought it was a little higher than that.

Good luck tomorrow against Wisconsin guys. Make the MAC proud!
