Red-shirt for Macon?
First and foremost.....another great article(s) by Maureen. With that being said, anyone know why Dan has not (is not) being red-shirted? With PJ and BJ both available this year, I think it would be nice to have DM around for two years after their departure, not just one. With his talent, and I think we can all agree that he has the goods, I just feel it is somewhat of a waste to let this year slip by.
Converting Fort Wayne one fan at a time!!
I thought I heard earlier that redshirting DM was the plan, and you're right, if it's possible, it would be great to save him and have some experience coming back for a couple more years. Though if we HAVE to use him, I wouldn't think twice about pulling the redshirt off, obviously.

They call him the Factman for a reason. Coach Brandon is really high on Chris Bullock, RB out of Destrehan, La. #34. He is a true Frosh and part of the 2005 class.factman wrote:I heard Coach Brandon say that they would like to red shirt Macon if possible, so I don't think you will see him unless we get in an injury situation. I think one of the two freshman, will fill the 3rd RB slot during the season if all goes as planned.
If we can get Macon for 2 more years, that would be great.

That being said, I got the sense that Brandon wanted to redshirt all of his true freshmen (save Alexander). Does this mean Lane & Pope would handle all the rushing duties or will Bullock do the mop up work?Falconfreak90 wrote:They call him the Factman for a reason. That remains to be seen. At the Kickoff reception, Coach was raving about Bullock & Antonio Smith...and we see where Smith is on the depth chart.1987alum wrote:That being said, I got the sense that Brandon wanted to redshirt all of his true freshmen (save Alexander). What about.....
Bobby Thomas? Where does he fit? I'm guessing he would be the 4th rb but then if we use 2 back offense this year he could see time with either Macon or Bullock in mopup duty for blowouts.
