I'm sure most of you will have this in your email already, but for those that didn't, I just got this through the alumni e-newsletter:
Summer is almost over and it's time for some FOOTBALL!!! This weekend, on September 3rd, your Bowling Green Falcons will open the season against the Wisconsin Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. This game will be televised nationally on ESPN at noon Eastern.
It is a great time to be a Falcon as we look to have an outstanding season, in fact the Mid-American Conference News Media Association (MACNMA) has picked Bowling Green to win the MAC East Division and capture the MAC Championship game in 2005.
We're excited about the expectations surrounding our program. The football program's profile nationally continues to grow and we hope that you will join us this season. It is my goal that we develop a relationship with you not only as a fan, but as part of the Falcon Family. We need you to show your support by coming out to all of our home football games. The energy of a packed crowd helps our student-athletes tremendously, and we want you to be at the center of all the action!
We want you to be a part of the Falcon team as a season ticket holder. Our marketing department has created a special offer for BGSU Alumni that are first-time season ticket buyers. If you have yet to purchase your season seats, then now is the time. Reserved season tickets are regularly $80, but as a BGSU Alumnus, if you order your season tickets by September 30th your cost will be only $65!!! That is a savings of nearly 30% off walk-up prices.
If you have any questions regarding tickets or if you would like to take advantage of this great opportunity and order your season tickets now, please call the Athletic Ticket Office at 1-877-BGSUTICKET or 419-372-0000 for immediate assistance. You can also order online by clicking the link to the right.
Don't forget to mark your calendar- Saturday, October 1, 2005 is Opening Day and Homecoming at "The Doyt" when your Bowling Green Falcons will take on the Temple Owls at 4:00 PM.
GO FALCONS!

As if ticket prices weren't a great deal already, hacking 15 bucks off the price makes it almost ridiculous!
"I don't believe I can name a coach, anywhere, anytime, anyhow, who did it better than Doyt Perry."
-1955 BG Assistant Bo Schembechler
That does seem to be a bit of odd marketing, rewarding those who respond later. . .
It also strikes me as odd when places offer gifts to NEW season ticket holders only instead of rewards for renewal season ticket holders. I can't remember if BG did something like that this year or not.
Yes you need to bring in new $ but the loyal customer may soon turn her/his back if you take them for granted.
I happen to have quite a few of the pepsi cans 4 tix for 28 bucks deal. Thats $7 a ticket folks. So when our first home game comes close let me know if anyone wants one to use and save some green.

I haven't seen any of those yet. Did you get the sodas on campus?

No we bought a pack of pepsi cans in those "fridge ready" packs, and the whole pack has the 4 tickets for 28 bucks. I have roughly 5 of them lying around.
