Post by FMBfan07 »

so who is going to ball state next week. I am ready for this game. I'll be there with the band. if you are going to the game stay after and watch the band do our show. they dont have enough time for us to perform our show during halftime so we have to peform it postgame. hope to see you all there!

I'll be in Muncie with a cat I work with who went to BSU.

There's a Falcon who was an usher last year for the Lake C. Captains and took me to one of their games. Omar played SS and Wickman pitched the 1st inning.

What a great ballpark!

MArching bands have to be invited. Our band usually takes one trip a year and this year it is Ball State. Am I correct here Band Members?

Is that like a MAC rule or what? I've never heard that before...I guess UVA must be the only ACC school to invite other bands.

Why would we go to a game that we don't even get any time in the halftime show?

The Freaks will be there.

DD,
We should try to hook up and park side by side. Two BG flags are better than one and I'm 1/2 Scottish!

The band not only has to get invited, it has to get funded. Generally, that means one away game a year (aside from postseason trips, of course!). This year, the athletic department requested that the band attend a MAC game rather than an OOC game.

When we planned on going to Ball State, we didn't know that we weren't going to get to perform at halftime. It's not Ball State's fault, either. The GMAC does a halftime presentation at each school, I guess, which is over 4 minutes long, and it's just our bad luck that they're presenting at Ball State next week. So we're performing postgame instead. I hope you'll all still stay and watch!

Freak- for sure!! we are hoping to meet up with UK as well and we should have a big BG tailgate area! I posted on MACBBS.com in the Ball State forum about tailgating guidlines, so we should use that to decide where to go and of course be in phone contact that day. We are planning on arriving around noonish, checking in at the Days Inn and heading to the stadium.

As far as a bus, I don't think there is one planned, BUT if you are a student you should ask UAO or some organization on campus with a bank account to front the money for ALL the away games and make it back up by charging students.

I be there hasn't been much of a demand for busing to away games by students but not with a good team and gas prices high, I bet they could fill at least one bus up.
