I haven't watched the game yet, but listened to a lot of it on the radio. For my two cents, I won't say that I will be happy to see Brandon go. But...
I really think he is a great offensive coach. I will give him credit for that. But in any games that have been close when we went to halftime(UT, NIU, today), we have been smoked in the third quarter. And it is not just the defense that is the issue in that respect. In all three of those games our offense did virtually nothing in the third quarter to help win the game. Adjustments need to be made no matter how well things are going because that coach in the other locker room isn't going to sit back and not make his own changes.
Outcoached again...

My primary criticism of this game stems from my criticism of most of the games since 2001.
No adjustments. It's a bit alarming. Is this a coaching philosophy? Or is that just passe?

IMO, it's because we don't usually have to do much coaching at halftime. Look at last season. 8 of the 12 games were basically over at halftime, so thier isn't much adjusting to do. In the other four games (OU, NIU, UT, Memphis), we lost three of them. And I credit the Memphis win mostly to Williams getting hurt.
Our coaches usually don't have to make adjustments, so when forced to do something in a close game, they seem to be rather unsucessful. (Trying to say that nicely was hard.)

this was a carbon copy of the Memphis game, except Deangelo got hurt and Memphis made some big penalties which handed us the game
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
