I posted on MACBBS.com in the Ball State forum about tailgating guidlines, so we should use that to decide where to go and of course be in phone contact that day. We are planning on arriving around noonish, checking in at the Days Inn and heading to the stadium.

Sweet, DD. We are leaving Akron around 8:30 am and get to Muncie by 1. We do gain an hour, correct? We are at the Days Inn as well.

Last time BG played in Muncie, we were able to get TG spot right beside the stadium. I don't think it will be that big of a crowd....the Cards are really struggling. I think some people will definitely come out just to see Omar.

I'll PM you my cell # later this week. Glad to see you and everyone else made it back from Madison unscathed.

Sounds good fellas. We should be in Muncie by noon also. After we check in and get settled, we will head over to the stadium as well. DD, I'll give you a call sometime this week.

Falcons:

If y'all wanna get there Friday night and get hammered with me and my Ball State pal, we'll be cutting the rug atta place called the Chug.

It's the closest thing to Howard's in Muncie and they sell cold cheap beer, Old Style.

At some point, I gotta stop turning a BG game into a two day bender, but that point will not be this weekend.

Go Falcons!

A few dozen cans of Old Style will wash away the bad taste Wisconsin left. A road win will also help a bunch.

Ball State tailgating

Post by BGGrad01 »

Just saw this on Ball State's website:

Tailgating begins three hours before kickoff?!?! Is the lot going to be closed when I get there at 1 on Saturday?

Yes, it appears the lot will in fact be closed. Some Ball State fans have warned of this possibility.

Do we start in the Days Inn parking lot??

Me, Mrs. and daughters will be in attendance. Just planning on picking up some GA tickets at the gate for $10 a piece. Looks like you can only order $15 tickets ahead of time.

Me and 3 others from Ft. Wayne will be making the trip - planning on doing same re: tickets as RWT. Hope to sit with all. Schedule says 7:00 start "ET". does that mean 6:00 Indiana time? Will look for flags in lot around 3. Anyone got room on their Coleman for a few more brats?

time was discussed in another thread. It was determined that start time is 8 in BG, 7 in IN.

Shouldn't it be "BG Falcons vs. Ball State Cardinals," not the other way around?

FYI

For those who haven't already picked up tickets and want to save a few bucks; some Indianapolis area Pepsi cans have a free admission to any Ball State athletic event. Heck that may offset some of the gas costs!

If my wife's health would allow, I would love to make this game and get to meet some of you. If I am fortunate to make it, I'll bring some of the free ticket cans for my fellow Falcons. If I can't make it, have fun at T. Tech!!

It's official, i'm going. First time I've ever been to a BG game without playing a bass drum (R.I.P. 00'-04). Too bad the lot opens too late, I guess i'm going to have to start the festivities somewhere else.

Is there a good sports bar somewhere close that we could have a pre tailgate "warmup? I would be nice to get together in one location.
