The implication seems to be if we had an "enclosed and modern" stadium, we would be hosting Wisconsin.

In fact "enclosed and modern" are not the issues.

The issue is that we would probably need to double the size of the stadium.

I also know *this* has been beaten to death, but I continue to believe our stadium does *not* need to be rebuilt. It's just lacking in some bells and whistles that will come with time.

The Sebo Center will partially address the "enclosed" and "modern" issues, for instance.

I swear, it seems some of us won't be happy until esclators are installed between each section and personal masseuses are waiting at each seat.

This is college football. It's not Inverness.

Exactly.

I think we should have a domed stadium to protect us from the harsh Ohio elements. We could encrust the dome with diamonds so it could be seen from space.

And call it "The Great Wall of Ankney".

Why the need to make a crack on Toledo? Iowa State beat Miami University in a bowl game last year. Also, Toledo has a home and home with Boise State in the future as well. We also have a home and home with Fresno State that starts this year. No need to make stupid comments about Toledo out of the blue.

RF: I don't know BGSUVA's intentions, but I read that as more of a value judgment than a crack on Toledo. FWIW, I think Toledo's done a great job with its OOC schedule for the next few years. I am, however, interested in the finances behind it.

When you say you would rather have a good team from a bad conference than an average team from a good conference you are not talking about financial issues. And if the Big 12 is a good conference then how is Iowa State average if they are expected to battle for the North Division Title? I would think it would have to be considered an average conference in that case.

And he says that he would rather play a home and home with Boise State instead of Iowa State.......well Toledo is playing a home and home with Fresno State which compares to Boise State. And then we play a home and home with Boise State in a few years.

I guess I just let some posts get to me when I shouldn't, but it is just the ignorance in the message. BG has a home and home coming up with Florida International. Does he think they are better than Iowa State? Of course Toledo has a home and home with FIU starting in 2008 so those can cancel themselves out.

I just don't see the point in his post, especially when BG plays similar teams.
