cowbells

Post by rocketfootball »

The cowbells for UT were made in the offseason and are selling pretty well.

The banning of noise makers is done at the conference level, not the NCAA level. According to UT officials, there is no ban that would affect us from using cowbells for any game played at the Glass Bowl so I would have to assume that means there is no ban in place by the MAC.

WMU and CMU used to use them as well, but I don't know if they still do.

For the UT/BG game last year, I think it was loud enough just with all the fans yelling and screaming.........no reason for those pop cans with pennies. Although I have to admit that they were pretty loud for the few people that had them.

The plan failed because they forgot to tell the UT students to remove the soda before inserting the pennies.

Yeah, I recognized it....just winding you up, cause if there is one thing that any BG fan will agree on it is that the water there SUCKS!

All BG fans realize the BG water is good for one thing only - to use when watering down the field before B!G football games (or whenever we play TU).

how about just some good old fashion yelling? thats what i do on 3rd downs. I didnt mind the thunderstix.. but anything that makes a loud noise that has the BG name on it is ok in my book!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

The Thundersticks make for good visuals. That's why I like 'em. Any time ESPN comes to town, I think we should hand 'em out.

Schade: Good point. The sight of all those things does make a good visual, though I'm sure there is something Freudian about it.
