Why do I hate OSU so much?

Talk about the Buckeyes the Wolverines the Hilltoppers the Ducks the Beavers the Chanticleers... or anyone else who isn't BG or an opponent in this forum.

Lets face it Ohio State is always on TV. There games have been televised for so long. BG being televised is still in its infancy.

Do you see the Buckeyes getting beat by a non conf opponent in OH anytime soon?

I could see the Buckeyes getting upset if they were fielding an inexperienced team against a veteran senior laden MAC opponent that had some decent talent.

One can only theorize if that BG player would of caught that pass in the endzone in 2003? Instead of driving for a TD to force a OT, the final drive could of been an opportunity to kick a FG to pull the upset.

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, unfortunately.

Before I went to BG, I liked OSU because I thought it was my civic duty. Once I got to BG, I was done.

When some OSU fans got in a heated argument with us a a lacrosse game about us having too many Canadians on our hockey team, I was done.

After that, I was convinced they were all drinking scarlet-and-gray Koolaid.

How often does OSU play a Non conf opponent from Ohio though? Answer: once a year, and usually its either us or Miami, so its hard to tell if they are the best in Ohio since they only play pretty much two other teams from Ohio

Ohio State have every D1 school in Ohio in a rotation. They have played Miami, BG, Toledo, Cincinnati, Kent, and Akron in the last 10 years. When you have 8 Big 10 games to play why would you use your (soon to be) 4 OCC games with 4, or even 2 other teams from Ohio? You want to also play teams from other conferenceslike that PAC 10 and the SEC that you may see in a bowl game. I think we would do the same thing if we were in their shoes. It would be different if their big rival was in state like scUM and Michigan State.

I'm just glad that OSU lost to Texas and now their hopes for a national championship are all but over. Ginn and Smith did not live up to all their hype in the game. Ginn only had 2 receptionsfor 9 yards haha! And Smith only threw for 78 yards and rushed for 27 on 13 attempts HAH! How's the crow taste you freaking buckeyes! Go Falcons!!!

If you visit any OSU fans this week make sure you drink only bottled beer and refuse all kool-aid or similar beverages. Hail to the Longhorns

I was waiting for some Massillon schmuck to rip on my BG wear so I could turn around and say "Hey, do remember a cat by the name of Erik White??? " I thought so.
what, to me, makes last night's loss even better, is that massillon's favorite son, the greatest thing to wear the orange and black since spielman, the number one pro prospect at qb...fumbled away the game. HA!
i dislike massillon with the fire of a thousand suns.

"I hate OSU because even some BGSU alums are more excited to root for OSU then their own alma mater. And would root for OSU in games played between two said schools. That sickens me."

And then there are some OSU alums that marry a BG alum and cheer violently for both schools, unless they are playing each other and then he has to be true to his school. When we played at Ohio State in 2003, we got our tickets from BG, I taligated with OSU fans that Ed and I have been friends with for years, I cheered my little heart out for my Falcons, and had SEVERAL OSU fans tell me what a great team BG had and that they were really impressed with that Cole Magner kid. A couple even told me that if they ever lost to another Ohio school that they wouldn't mind so much it was Bowling Green because it is a great school with great fans. And in case any of you think that they only said that because Ed was with me wearing an Ohio State jersey, he was in the bathroom when those OSU fans paid our porgram all the compliments.

So yea, here's my stance, take it or leave it. I grew up in the Dayton area as an Ohio State Fan. I just loved that school and I would try to watch every game I could. (Just so you know, my parent's are definately Penn State Fans) Looking at schools, tOSU was definately the one I wanted to attend. But, now that I'm at tBGSU :supz: , I now see clearly, and I have become a true hardcore Falcon Fan 4 Life!! I've always disliked ::puke:: Michigan :vom: and now I seem to dislike ::puke:: Ohio State :vom: even more. Another thing I really hate is the fact that Ohio State calls themselves "THE Ohio State University." They aren't the only State Funded university in Ohio. Seeing as how BG is the only Bowling Green State University, I feel we have every right to call ourselves The Bowling Green State University, but then again, that would eventually turn us into an "Ohio State" and most of us really wouldn't want that, now would we! Well, that's just my rant... ...*now tuning you back to local programing*...

The reason that they refer to themselves as The Ohio State University is because a few years ago OU tried to sue Ohio State saying that they had copyrighted the word "Ohio" so Ohio State wasn't allowed to just put Ohio on their uniforms. Ohio State didnt' start putting the "The" in front of their name until after that. They were always The Ohio State University but they never used it until just recently.
