Oh , why we couldn't put up over 200 yds rushing on BSU is also beyond me. Is O-line still trying to adjust to playing together or what? So much for them being the most athletic they ever been.

Ball St's D vs our O-line.....
We had so much trouble keeping BSU's big DT' Tom Kellar from molesting Omar it was ridiculous!
Oh yeah, guess what he's 6'3 and around 300lbs. Flame away if you want, but my points have been more than made. Sad that freaking Ball St. has a 300lb DT but we don't.

ENOUGH!!!!! We are playing the hand we have been dealt. Our lines are what they are and we will have to wait until the offseason to see how much they bulk up for next year. It isn't totally weight anyway. It's all a game of leverage. If we know we are undersized then we have to adjust to be able to get the most leverage we can. I will put my money on a guy who is 6'8" and 250 taking down a guy who is 6'8" and 300 any day of the week if the smaller guy knows where to attack a larger frame. But you just don't seem to understand that at all. When you play poker do you fold unless you have 4 aces and a king?????

Ok your points have been made now go away. Are you going to point out after every game we play that someone has a bigger player than us?

No, but I'll actually will say that BSU's O-line was quite small from what I could gather from their roster. We did get some pressure and sacks, but we still let their qb burn us for several deep passes. I do like the play of Mack. He seemed to be quite violent with the pressure and tackling. Maybe he needs to start or at least play alot more.Tricky_Falcon wrote:falconboy wrote:Flame away if you want, but my points have been more than made.

BG won the game and Omar put up 428 yards passing, 5 TD's and was sacked ONCE. I think the O line did a solid job as the offense pounded out 554 total yards.
They can keep their 300 lb DT....we have a 1-0 MAC record and sit in 1st in the East.

Agree on all points. I do think teams are getting more pressure on Omar than they did last year, and I think its because they are selling out the blitz (as Memphis did) as the only way to attack our spread. Omar was sacked only once, but he was hurried a few more times than that.Falconfreak90 wrote:![]()

He is not going to be the last QB that does that to us.falconboy wrote:... but we still let their qb burn us for several deep passes.

OK, if you insist!falconboy wrote:Flame away if you want, but my points have been more than made.
1) As Freak pointed out, despite the presence of a 300-pound DT, Ball State sacked our QB once.
2) Despite the presence of a 300-pound DT, Ball State saw more than 62% of BG's passes completed.
3) As Freak pointed out, despite the presence of a 300-pound DT, Ball State gave up 428 yards passing and 554 yards overall.
4) BG has a 289-pounder that starts at NT (Thaler). Would 11 more pounds make a dramatic difference in his play?
