OSU gets beat by Texas!

Post by RossfordFalcon »

So glad Texas came through in this one. Now on Monday I won't have to listen to their fans brag, just complain about how it wasn't their fault that they lost.

I talked to my dad after the game tonight, who is both an OSU grad and a huge OSU fan. His rartionalization for why the Bucks lost: Tressle's constant rotating of quarterbacks even after he stated prior to the game that he wanted to settle on one of them in the first or second quarter.

My dad may be the most ratinional OSU fan there is. Plus, he's a HUGE Falcon fan, too!

I'm glad I'm not living in Ohio right now. I'd lose my mind if I had to hear OSU fans complain about how the officials lost the game for them. :?

Did you get the Texas fight song cued up before the call?

And how dare anyone blame that loss on Tressel. He can do no wrong!

No, I didn't get the Texas fight song cued up, but that is funny. It would have been really, really mean, though, and I my dad is the only OSU fan that I wouldn't do that to (he is alum, after all!).

And you're right about OSU fans and Tressle. My dad and I tonight after the game came to the conclusion that OSU loves Tressle because he beats Michigan. In my opinion, to base an opinion of a coach on one game each year is beyond ridiculous (and very Brownsian, if you catch my drift). Between the two of us, we couldn't think of another college football program who's fans seem to have the same issue of stupidity.

How about all of the UT (God, it's hard to write those two letters together and be happy) fans behind the GameDay set singing "The Eyes of Texas" after the victory.

The game wasn't just tressells fault, he was half of it.

Tressell to blame because:

Running spread offense on the 5 yard line getting ready to score against a D like texas has. RETARDED. I hate when BG does it not any different when OSU does it.
also his fault for rotating QB's, they will never find a rythm when you do that, Zwick was great v. Miami because he knew the game was his.

reasons for loss that were not tressell's fault:

dropped passes. the one in the end zone hurt the most and he dropped that pass twice.
Ginn's dropped passes- probably why he didnt get it very much. I think they wanted Texas to worry about him and use him as a decoy most of the time.

last reason- stupid penalties,
late hit out of bounds gave texas ball inside the 50 and they scored. ball game.

I dont blame it on the refs or anything like that. The players and the coaches let Texas hang around. The score should have been 42-17 OSU if they would score TD's and not 5 field goals

thats the facts

I'm not only a Buckeye fan- I'm also a Sooners fan, and that makes the loss doubly painful.

HOOK 'EM DOWN!!!!!!

But don't worry- the Falcons are always first in my book. :D
