Why do I hate OSU so much?

Until either of you sign on in here I don't think anyone really cares what you have to say. It's not like it costs anything and it's a great site.

The reason that they refer to themselves as The Ohio State University is because a few years ago OU tried to sue Ohio State saying that they had copyrighted the word "Ohio" so Ohio State wasn't allowed to just put Ohio on their uniforms. Ohio State didnt' start putting the "The" in front of their name until after that. They were always The Ohio State University but they never used it until just recently.

That's what I recall. Ohio U was just trying to protect themselves. Funny how the OSU cheerleaders have "Ohio" on their cute little dresses. And then the Shoe crowd doing the whole "O H I O" chant. I always ask "Why are you guys cheering for the Bobcats?" LOL!

The arrogance of OSU and their backers is too much for me anymore. I try to ignore them at all times...except when they play us in anything and everything.

Although this is a cool story...

A week ago at MajorFalcon92's party in Columbus, Mrs. Freak wanted to take the boys over to the Shoe (She is an OSU grad but bleeds O & B now) to show them where she graduated. I didn't care so we went over. There was a TV news van, Channel 4 I think, there and a reporter was interviewing Archie Griffin at the front of the Shoe. We parked and tried to get over there to meet him (I mean, come on...it was Archie Griffin and he is actually one of the few OSU folks that has a ton of class) but he was gone by the time we got there.

We walked by and the camera man saw my BG football shirt and yelled "GO BG!!!". I walked over and he said we was very impressed with Omar and the Falcons. He then told me that "Not everyone here loves the Bucks" and winked.
We ended up walking on OSU's campus for a while so Dana could point out building and halls where she had classes.

Sorry, your wrong on this one..the natiopnal titles hopes are still very much alive. 5 of the years the BCS has existed, atleast 1 of the participating teams had 1 loss. OSU got theirs out of the way early. say they win out which is very possible now that Iowa and UM suck. every team in fron of them except USC has a VERY good chance of losing and OHIO STATE IS STILL IN THE TOP 10 @ # 9 7 teams in front of them lose 1 game later in the year than OSU does guess who is back in the title game?

Boy, using that kind of slanted logic it'll be pretty nice for BG when Miami doesn't even show up when we're supposed to play them. I mean, they already lost to CMU, so why the hell would the even try?

And I don't think anyone around here will be eating any crow for the Buckeyes...

OSU in a BCS bowl is a good bet. Playing for the MYTHICAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, that is a bet I will not be making this year.

Well, it IS in the "Other Schools" forum... and OSU is an "other school"... and as long as the BG fans here keep BG first in their fan loyalty, why is anything they say in favor of OSU such a problem?

Now, defending Toledo, however...
