Post by basketballcontact »

Bowling Green, Ohio - BGSU junior quarterback Omar Jacobs will be featured in an eight-minute Heisman Trophy segment tonight on GameNight on ESPN Radio. The piece will air at 7:40 p.m. Eastern and will be replayed at 12:23 a.m.

The show is hosted by Doug Gottlieb and Fred Coleman. Last week's feature was on the 2004 winner, USC's Matt Leinert. Jacobs is the second player to be featured this season.

(The MudHens should be on 1470 tonight so you'll have to go to the website to hear it in the Toledo market.)

pretty good stuff. I logged it while I listened, but it's pretty unintelligible.

1) Omar needs to work a little bit on his interview skills. He's got a very broken speech pattern but tends to tell it like it is.

2) If you've read each large article this year it was pretty much stuff from that.

3) He gave props to Boise's QB.

Omar has never been a great speaker, he was in my public relations class last semester. i was in his group for a project and when our group presented to the class, Omar just wasnt being clear with his speech, but its all good because he doesnt have to speak when hes throwing those TD passes.

If you were able to watch the Wisconsin game they said that they hired a person for Omar so he could be prepared to talk to the media and handle situations.

The best part was the way he phrased it... "that guy at Toledo, and the guy at Miami of Ohio..." Never dropped their name directly (remember when some of ya thought Brucie was a prick for not naming names?), and threw the "of Ohio" in just for the ForeSkinHawks... :D
