Keys to The BSU/BGSU game
Keys to The BSU/BGSU game
For Boise
Establish the running game early with long sustained drives.
Put pressure on Omar.
The Db's will have to step up.
I think it would be smart to give BG a little on the ground and focus on pass defence. How is the BGSU running game? BSU's defensive strength is against the run. UGA and OSU were both held to under 100yds.

Pretty much.
IF our D can contain the Broncos (we won't stop them) somewhat, I think we can win.
Our ground game will be fine as long as PJ Pope is back. No offense to BJ Lane or Bobby Thomas but PJ is the key.
This should be an excellent game between 2 evenly matched teams. Wish I could be there!

Agreed '87, but be sure to give the Bronco fans an interstate more in their neck of the woods so they can relate. "If they turn into I-75 and/or I-84, we're doomed.".1987alum wrote:Our defense will tell the tale. If they play well, we're in it. If they turn into I-75, we're doomed.
The offense will move the ball (by air or ground, whatever's there). The special teams may play a role, but if our defense steps up, that will be a minor point.
It's all about our D.

Keys to a BG Victory
Defense needs to get some key stops, maybe force a field goal instead of giving up the 6. Get a turnover or 2 and stop Boise on third and long.
Special Teams need to not give up any big returns (that hurts our D big time) and try and make all the extra points.....please!!!
And for offense- no 3 and outs! That's what kills us, especially right after the Boise St. scores or takes the lead. We can't get rattled and Omar just has to relax and burn 'em when they blitz, the crowd is loud, and everythinig seems against us. Overcome adversity and show the country what this team is made of. Get an attitude that we will not be stopped no matter what!
Boy I'm really hoping we pull this one out, Go BG!!!
