a little recruiting update

Post by bg sports fan »

We are close to getting verbal #5 brad Jones a DB 6'1 around the 180 range and a 4.4 is going to decide with in the next 2 weeks and he lists BG as his top choice he is from the canton area we had offered him after him only beeing here 40 minutes for the one day camp he came too he ran the forty that day in 4.34 The other too verbal's we gotten from the QB from eastwrood and the OL from Illinois are now saying they are soft verbals It still sounds like the Qb will come here but the OL if he is offered from clemson he may change his commit to them. will give you more when i read about things :)

Thanks for the update.

At this point I expect ALL verbals to be "soft" The fact is many people will waffle in their decisions between now & signing day. Especially when they start getting letters from bigger schools. If other offers start to pour in there is no reason to believe that most of these kids won't choose a bigger school than ours. We're doing a great job in our recruiting the last couple years, no doubt, but we have a long way to go before we can truly rely on verbals from kids in July.

All verbals are soft...nothing in stone until the signature is on the contract at signing day....

Don't get used to it, at least in that form. Springfield North and South are merging soon. I'm not sure exactly when, but it's playing havoc with the GWOC.

The GWOC is trying to raid the big schools from the MML ( Maimisburg, Lebanon, Fairborn). If they are successful the mml could fold.
