Josh Harris headed to CFL
Doctors are becoming rarer there also! Too hard to make decent a living being a doctor in Canada.Flipper wrote:Warren Moon played in the CFL and he became an NFL all star and a wife beater. I'm thinking Josh will be an NFL all pro and leave the wife beating to the West Virginians.
Canadian healthcare is free, but they have almost no MRI machines. They're as rare as a virgin in Calgary. In fact, Canada has more football teams named the "Roughriders" than they do MRI machines.
Here in the US MRI's are as plentiful as Pepsi machines.

I believe Warren Moon played canadian league as well for Edmonton Eskimo's maybe?hammb wrote:Doug Flutie, Kurt Warner, and Tommy Maddox are examples of guys who played in other leagues and came back to star in the NFL. There are countless other examples of guys who have played in leagues such as the AFL or CFL and come back to the NFL as solid career backups.Germainfitch1 wrote:I would bet that he eventually thrives in the CFL and never sees it beyond an NFL preseason. He has had two chances now, and most young QBs dont get that many more. You have to think most NFL teams bring 4 QBs to camp. The three that they had last year and a rookie. If the team that invested a 5th round pick on him does not see him as a potential developmental QB.
Pix of J5
Selfishly sad that J5 is heading north. I photographed the first day of training camp just to see him, nothing got published so I can share it here.
These were shot with less than ideal equipment so please excuse the haze around everything. My big glass was not available so I used a 70-200 2.8 w/2x if anybody cares.

This is awesome news. I hope he does well.
I've never been a fan of Canadian Football, but I think I'm going to start.
And for all those individuals talking POLITICS: FOCUS, PINKY! :duh:

Google Alert on Josh
The Stampeders are also attempting to sign Josh Harris, selected by Baltimore in the 2004 NFL draft, to add QB depth in time for Saturday's game.

A little known fact about Alan Thicke is that he wrote and sang the theme song to Threes Company. I don't believe he has ever been to the Regal Beagle, but I'm sure he has cruised for chicks with Tripper, Larry, and Mr. Ferley.BGorDeath wrote:Dudes, I was just making an off-handed comment about Josh being in Canada. Lighten up on the healthcare thing. Concentrate more on the Alan Thicke comment.
Best of luck to Josh up in Canada! Hopefully he can get some game experience in and another shot in the NFL next year.
Regal Beagle
Threes Company song, thanks, now I'll be singing it all day.
Isn't there a Regal Beagle in Ada, Ohio? And just to keep it on topic they make footballs in Ada and I'm sure at some point Josh has thrown one of those footballs.
I need to learn more about the CFL, I know nothing about it.

#77 THREE'S COMPANY
COMPOSED BY JOE RAPOSO (1977)
Three's Company is that odd mixture of retarded and catchy that few TV theme songs have ever achieved. Created by Joe Raposo (a TV Theme song all-star who gave us the Sesame Street, Electric Company, and the classic Sesame Street songs "Sing" and "It's Not Easy Being Green". What many people don't realize is that the original arrangement of the song featured a bizarre mixture of dogs and cats performing the tune, which you can hear for the very first time if you CLICK HERE. And while you're at it, check out our hot Suzanne Somers retroCRUSH Gallery.

I didn't realize how cool that beginning is....so did he at least sing the theme song? I can't tell if that his voice or not.

Maybe Alan Thicke just sang the theme to Threes Company? I guess when you are taking my word at face value you have to take the good and take the bad. Which brings us back once again to Alan Thicke:
The Facts of Life by Alan Thicke, Gloria Loring and Al Burton
You take the good, you take the bad,
you take them both and there you have
The Facts of Life, the Facts of Life.
There's a time you got to go and show
You're growin' now you know about
The Facts of Life, the Facts of Life.
When the world never seems
to be livin up to your dreams
And suddenly you're finding out
the Facts of Life are all about you, you.
It takes a lot to get 'em right
