Take a good look at numbers 6 and 7 and explain why they are that far ahead of Omar...it defies (BCS) explanation.

I wish there was someone to right an email too, a lot of their articles have the email addy of whoever wrote it.
QB Brad Smith, Sr. Missouri
Smith completed 32 of 55 passes for 248 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions and ran 29 times for 165 yards and three touchdowns in the 45-35 loss to New Mexico.
Yeah those are numbers of the 7th best player in the country
Also Brady Quinn is just behind Omar. Those 130 yards he threw against Michigan must really impress CFN.

I don't understand those selections at all. Leak has got to be that high based on the fact that they think Urban will have him putting up huge numbers. He really hasn't done that yet though, so I don't get it.
Brad Smith hasn't even been good, let alone top 10 players good. Pathetic, but you know BCS players on undefeated teams will always be ahead of a 1 loss mid-major player.

I don't think we are a Top 25 team...yet. Top 40? You bet. But we need to improve in all 3 phases of the game to get in the Top 25. And I know we will. Smith accounted for 403 yards of total offense and four touchdowns, and was also on the top 10 for week one, so that is why he is on there. Ever since Leak got to Florida, everyone has been saying that he was going to be a special player if he could get the right QB coach or HC. So I think that is why he is on there. But hey, Adrian Peterson isn't on there either, and everyone knows that he one of the best running backs in the country when he has an offensive line that can block just a little bit for him. So let's not get all pissy over ratings for two weeks of football. It's a long season. As far as rankings are concernened, let's worry about that after our defense shores up a little bit more. From what you guys have said, I know that our defense isn't all to blame for giving up 31 points to Ball State, but what matters to the people doing the polls are final scores, and wins and losses. 1-1 with 87 points against isn't going to get you a whole lot of respect. But things will change by the end of the year. Just be patient.
