Eat me........

Post by Rightupinthere »

Okay, it's now within two months until the Kent game and; therefore, less than two months until Freak's soiree. I have volunteered to do up the dessert table. I wanted to run some recipes by y'all so that I can start researching and experimenting/perfecting.

You will notice some thematic styling:

*Mini Maple Pumpkin Cheesecakes drizzled with - I think - a nutmeg caramel sauce.

*Dark Chocolate cups filled with orange mousse and topped with candied orange zest

*Falcon head cookies (decorate your own? - PERHAPS!)

Wife says that's enough - but I'm no so sure.

*I want a dish that screams "Autumn". How about an apple crisp with cinamon ice cream? I have a cast iron dutch oven which is crying to be used. I'll just have to figure the legistics of keeping it warm during the game.

For those who are going to attend, let me know how these sound. Also, if you have any requests or recommendations, please feel free.

Now, there is a good chance that my best friend, whom I haven't seen since Christmas time, will be on leave from the Air Force Academy and in Cleveland for a family wedding that weekend...

But if that's what you're making for dessert, I think I might have to blow him off. ;)

Just so everyone is updated...

We'l be having a post game celebration at our house after the Kent win...I mean game. oops.

We'll be grillin and chillin and watchin college football the rest of the night.

All you have to do is bring what you want grilled and what you want to drink. Mrs. Freak says the budget is running kinda tight this season.

We will have chips and veggies....if anyone wants to bring other things, that is great.

Christopher Lowell/ Colin Cowie. Same thing. But I like your Tony Soprano type comment. Even sounds like the fake NY accent my husband just gave me on the phone. He just landed in NYC & called to let me know he made it. He & his buddies went to go see the Army-Baylor game. And did I get to go to NYC this weekend? Nooooooooooo.

(Anxiously awaiting recipies!) :)

d00d, I know you're trying to be funny, but it's A-R-M-Y. I would give one of my 3 arms to go see a game on the shores of the Hudson River:

So are you saying he didn't really go for the game TG? Actually, I have spies. Not very reliable ones, but I know all of the people he is there with & I know their wives. So unless we are ALL being duped, it's fairly safe to say he is there with the boyz. Not that they can't get in trouble, but I am probably pretty safe he is not having pillow fights with any lingerie clad models/ strippers. Maybe just a couple of other over the hill HJ's. (trying to erase image of that one though).

Botox, I think he was referring to the actual game being a pillow fight.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Although it is being televised on ESPN classic for those who want to see it. And remember, his team is undefeated & likely to remain so after tomorrow. As for the rest of the season.... well, we'll worry about that later!

TRYING to be funny?? Oh no, there's a definite method to my humor. With a 99 44/100% success rate.

I hear what you're saying though... but after seeing a game at Navy (BG in '93), and attesting that the ceremony around a military academy game is top notch, I still think the only Army game I'd be down for seeing is Army-Navy.
