Class of 2015 & 2017 recruits....

Post by Falconfreak90 »

Josh started football conditioning yesterday for the first time ever. He is very excited to be playing football. I look for the coaches to put him on the O and D lines to start. Jake is signed up for flag football and starts Monday. 4 nights a week at the Green Youth Football Complex. Friday, Saturday and Sunday off....Hmmmm....I like the way that works out. Should be a blast....I'll be helping out with the yard line markers and maybe even announcing games from the booth.

37 days til the "Norman Stormin"....

Freak:

Noah begins Season 2 soon in his preparing for his official visit in 2016. Still waiting to hear the details, but I signed up to be a coach this year, which should be fun.

It's funny, he loves J5 and talks a lot about Cole Magner, but something tells me - if he decides that football is his sport - he's going to be a defensive player.

Last year, he seemed to take the most joy out of chasing people down.

Did I ever tell you this story? If not, you'll appreciate it (and it got me thinking that D may be in his future) ...

During a game last year, Noah came jogging off the field. He wasn't crying, but he had tears in his eyes, so I asked him what was wrong.

"That boy over there," he said pointing to a kid on the other team. "Threw me down on my head."

He assured me that he was OK and I asked him if he wanted to stop playing for the day. Bear in mind, Noah is a genuinely gentle kid by nature. He's very sensitive and kind. That's what I was so surprised when he said, "No, I'm gonna go out there and throw him on his head."

With that, he sprinted back on the field.

He lined up for the next play, getting up on his tippy-toes to see the other kid, who was on the opposite end of the line. At the snap, the play came directly at Noah. He ran right past the blockers and the running back (who had the ball, BTW), grabbed the kid around the waist, lifted him up and flung him to the ground.

The kid, of course, had no idea what was going on. Noah didn't give him a second look; he just turned and sprinted toward the ball carrier.

1987, That is hilarious! Now you need to teach him that you should take your revenge at a more appropriate time, like after the play is over.

'87,
That story rocks! Good for Noah!! Sounds like Noah and Josh are pretty much the same. Jake is aggressive by nature...it takes Josh a bit of prodding to get aggressive. Josh is gentle by nature as well...but when he gets mad, look out! I think football will be great for his character.

Noah....the next Keon Newson or TJ Carswell! Carswell hits like a Mack truck.

I think Noah will be lacking in the speed department when it comes to DB and the doctor says the growth charts have him headed toward the 6-3 to 6-5 range. So I'm thinking OLB ... and that my son will be able to kick my butt by the time he gets to middle school.

You can never predict where they will end up. Jim played center and d end all through pee wee and his junior year in high school gave up offense for D-end. Was recruited to play D-End (except for Miami who wanted on O-Line, He told them no thanks). Played his true freshman year at D-End starting 3 games. Then after a redshirt year and a new coach look where he ended up. O- Line :partyman:
