I was just thinking about that game. I was there and I was amazed at how well he was able to keep up with the 'Goons. I believe we lost 5-4, but it was a fast-paced game on both sides and I was impressed time and again with the glove saves Horrell was flashing. I remember turning to an arrogant Michigan fan who was giving the group I was with crap throughout the game and saying to him something to the effect of: "And thats our BACKUP goalie!" He just shook his head. Priceless.

I'm going to miss Jordan just like everyone else associated with Falcon hockey will for a long, long time. But that being said, I'm not too worried about our goalie situation this year - especially if Spratt is even half as good as advertised. 8)
One thing many people forget is that Horrell has a victory over Michigoon. When he played for Findlay. He came to BG when they dropped their program.

People also forget that he's British. God save the netminder! :P

falconboy - If you come to a game this year I suggest you take a trip into the new addition and take a look at the wall next to the coach's office. On that wall you'll find pictures of all of NHL hockey players who have come through the BG program....and there are a lot of them. The NCAA banners hanging in the ice arena will attest to the success this program has seen in the past and will see again in the future. Have you noticed the NCAA championship banner? Show a recruit those banners, show a recruit the NHL wall of fame, and show a recruit the TWO Hobey Baker awards (awarded to college hockey's BEST player) and he will understand what it means to be a part of this storied program and the quest to return it to its glory!
Don't dwell on the Hobey Baker awards for too long...you'll want to save some time to ponder the Olympic Gold Medalists that have played for the Falcons!

I am pretty sure it was Michigan State that he beat while at UF.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Oops! My fault. You are correct. I guess it was just wishful thinking on my part.

Hopefully, Horrell (or Spratt) will have a win (or 2, or 3, or 4!!) racked up against the weasels this year!!
