Basketball / Hockey Arena Study?
I know that there was talk that the arena feasibility study was supposed to be completed around the end of August. Has anyone heard any kind of new information about their findings or when we can expect to hear about it? Of course I might have missed this on a previous post, so if I did I'll apologize in advance.
I see your Swartz is as big as mine!
It's funny how long this talk has been around. When I was a freshman in 1993, they were talking then about building a new arena and it had been discussed well before I got to BG. Coach Larranaga had sketches in his office and everything. Then 12 years later, we're still talking about it. It's kind of like the Sebo Center, I'll believe it when I see it. Whether we build a new arena or renovate Anderson Arena....seeing is believing no matter when they say something will happen.
GO BG!!!
Right next to the Field House would be the perfect spot...
Not that I'm driving speculation!

true, but I think the SEBO center is a little different animal. They publicized it way too much to back out now + they already tore the stands down. I don't think they would've done that if there wasn't a concrete plan to move forward.
I'm kind of doubtful a new convo will be built without serious outside help. All unmarked donations rolling in will probably be devoted to the Sebo before anything else. Even if a new center is decided on, I would bet it'll be ten years before we see a game there.

Roll Along!
If they build a new arena, it better be called the "Poe Ditch Convocation Center."

And if we do, we should pay HIM for allowing us to use his name and likeness in marketing for the arena.BGDrew wrote:We must find someone named Poe Ditch.
