Your season is not over

Post by rocketfootball »

As I said on the MAC board:

Don't forget that Toledo got beat down by Minnesota and Kansas last year to start the season, but turned it around and won the MAC. BG could do the same.

Thanks rf -- I think some over here are on suicide watch. We'll see ya in November, hopefully with a ton at stake.

Good luck against Fresno.

RF,

Thanks for the thoughts. We're gonna find out what this staff is made of now.

I sincerely hope this was just a bad night.

Good luck in Fresno....We didn't get out deal done.

Thanks, good luck in Fresno, and I still HATE that Turd up north.

Thanks for the kind words, though I'm sure the Rocket faithful are having a field day with this loss.

As you know, our scenario is different in many ways from the meltdown you had early last year. It will be much more difficult to right the ship and compete for the East title. We can get it done, but as Freak points out, it will take some real soul-searching by the staff.

There's really a mix of talk on the UT boards. Many are talking about the loss and BG's defense. However, many are also pointing out our defense last year and our trouble's in OOC road games last year. Other UT fans are worried about the same kind of thing happening to us at Fresno State too.

I think there are a lot of UT fans that are glad that we aren't the only top MAC school that has had issues with defense and special teams over the last couple of years. Especially since it is our rival that is having those same problems now this year.

For starters they had an established, quality coaching staff. I don't like Amstutz's method of discipline, but the guy is one helluva football coach.

I cannot wait for some home games. These games are ugly on television, I really want to watch them live to get a better feel for what's going on over the whole field.
