Be careful with Temple

Post by rocketfootball »

Be careful with the thugs from Temple.

Does anyone remember after the Temple game when I mentioned the quote in a Philly newspaper the next morning? A Temple DL player was asked about Bruce leaving the game hurt and then coming back in to lead UT to a couple more scores in the 2nd half. The Temple player said "We obviously didn't hit him enough".

Well, Bruce has not practiced yet and his status for Tuesday's game is uncertain. Nice job Temple. You can't win games but you know how to go after the other team's stars and try to hit them with intent to hurt them. Temple's football and basketball teams are filled with goons.

Your O-Line better protect Jacobs and get him out of the game as soon as the lead is good.

Well, someone put a quick post on the MACBBS board that a Temple player hit the Western QB late and he ended up with a broken leg.

I have not confirmed this anywhere else yet.

So what you are telling me is that not only did we let one of the worst football programs into the conference as a football-only member, but we also let in a dirty program?

THANKS RICKY!!!!!! :duh:

I don't have a problem with the "hit the QB hard and often" line of thinking. That's just football.

Cheap shots and late hits are another story...

Temple

Post by rocketfootball »

After what has happened to Toledo, Gradkowski is a game time decision against Fresno State tomorrow, and now WMU with their QB getting a broken leg...........I have a hard time believing everything is a coincidence.

Don't forget that basketball player that broke the St. Joseph's kid's arm is on the football team this year.

I really hope BG and Miami University can escape any serious injury when they play Temple.

This is complete BS and it is coming for a school that is joining our conference!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even if Bruce Gradkowski can play, he won't be 100%. This was the MAC's last chance to gain back something in OOC play against a quality opponent. Sorry Miami, Cincy just isn't a quality opponent.

Seriously, gang. It looks like Wallace is on the edge of losing control of his team. If that happens, not only could Saturday be ugly, but the rest of the season could become a PR nightmare for the MAC office.

If this becomes a trend that we as a conference can track and prove, Chryst has to renig on our deal with Temple. If he doesn't, God help Ricky because I'll be right there with everyone else - pitchfork and flaming torch in hand.

We should also have a rejection ceremony for these losers where we'll rip the MAC patches off of each players jersey and spit in their face before they walk away in shame. OK, maybe THAT'S going a bit far, but you get my drift...

If the O-line is smart , they wont let Temple lay a finger on Omar.

MAC article in today's Cleve. PD verifies that the W.M.U. QB has a broken leg...no mention of a late hit, dirty play etc., but must admit that Rocket might have hit on something we'd better be aware of.
