My Boise Perspective...

Post by transfer2BGSU »

Well, I've read all I'm going to read about the Boise game.

Here are some of my thoughts -

1. Boise is a nice town. Walk out of the hotel and you see the mountains. A nice change of scenery.

2. The BSU campus is an attractive campus. BSU has some nice residence halls (they said only 1,500 students live on-campus, but they have some beautiful residence halls)

3. The BSU fans (except for the wench trying to moon Frieda) were extremely friendly and very classy. It is my hope that our fans and students show as much class to their fans.

4. Now I know how long forever is.

5. Great to see so many BGSU fans make it to the game. I met an alum from Tampa that met up with friends from Cleveland and Seattle. Met a few that lived in Idaho now. Even saw Metz, FalconFan1, and some parents of players.

6. The game is over and we can't do anything about.

I look forward to seeing the BSU fans next fall when we play at home.

Nice to hear such kind words.

It is nice to hear such kind words. I live in San Diego and most people here don't believe me when I tell them what a nice and "hip" town Boise is.

I'm glad that the majority of the Boise fans represented well and treated you with respect. Some of the newer bandwagon fans are not always a real classy bunch. Some BSU internet posters give Boise state a bad name, but they are nothing like the fans that actually attend the games.

I didn't get to go to Boise for this home game because it was on a weekday. It looked like a good crowd for Wednesday. I really think BSU could fill a 45K stadium on weekends.

I do go to most of the BSU games that are on weekends, so if next years game is on a Saturday I will be in Bowling Green OH for my first time ever.

If the BGSU fans at the game are anything like the ones that post on this board then IMHO they are nothing but class. There are a few away games that I just don't like to go to because of the fans. In our own conference it is Fresno and Hawaii. They hate us. Since joing the WAC, BSU has never lost to either of them and they also sell beer at both of those stadiums. Together, that creates an often bad situation. Fresno also has a problem with gang member types at games.

I have no such apprehention about going to Bowling Green and am looking forward to it.

Good luck the rest of the year. I have learned from this board that it is very importan for you guys to win the MAC. I hope you do.

Til next year.

(I'll prolly stop from time to time to wish well etc.)
