My challenge to those near BG
My challenge to those near BG
Enough about worrying about attendance.
Do something.
My challenge to those in the Greater Bowling Green Metropolitan Area, or those planning on attending multiple games is simple - bring someone to the game. And not the person you usually bring to the game (though you should bring them, too). Bring someone who likely would not have attended a BG game this year. Bring someone who has never gone to a BG game. Heck, be a big spender and spring for the ticket. Bring them to the tailgate and show them how much fun it is!
If several hundred people here each brought one person, that could move the needle, noticeably. It's classic viral marketing!
Enough griping. Do Something!

I like that steak comes from cows. That is why a cow will not think twice about eating you.

Because I think you and I and our spouses represent the sum total of BG fans in Leipsic and Belmore.
Does anybody actually still live in Belmore? I had a classmate (I should say 'some of the time' classmate as he joined our class after flunking a few and I don't think he ever graduated high school) that was mayor there until he got thrown in jail.
I am recruiting some friends (2 adults, three kids) from Gibsonburg to join us for the game!
Don't know about from Helena.

Actually, my brother has been to a few games in the past. He usually works on Saturdays now so its a bit more difficult to get him here.
As for Belmore.....from what I understand way back when it used to be a great little town (well before I remember). The last "decent" people to live there were the Kelly's, I believe. Any more, the whole place could be condemned and I doubt that anyone would care.

Well, folks from Cleveland who are coming to the game can bring along a friend, too. Let's not limit ourselves!BGFan wrote:Just trying to figure out how far out the "Metro Bowling Green area" goes!1987alum wrote:Anyway, back to talking about bringing more people to home games ...
When I first thought we'd be coming for the Temple game, I had a friend who's a Temple student all ready to join us for the trip.

I'm bringing 3 extras with me also.
FWIW, I heard a radio commercial this morning inviting listeners to tailgate and come enjoy the game on saturday. The marketing has been better this year, even if it still has a long ways to go.
I for one can't wait for this game -- even if it is against Temple. It's been way too long since I've seen some foosball in the Doyt.
