Yes Marc, I will take the 1987Alum "physical challenge". I will be bringing at least two others to all BG home games I attend this year. Then when we get there I'm going to ask one of them a BGSU-related question, and if they don't know the answer, or think the other person that came to game with us doesn't have a clue, they can Dare them to answer it for double the beers. But be careful, because they can always Double Dare the other person back for four times the amount in beer, and then they'll either have to answer that question or take the Physical Challenge.

As I read this , i'm hearing another radio commercial for BG football again on my portable radio. Its bout time the university has got some these commericals.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:I'm bringing 3 extras with me also.
FWIW, I heard a radio commercial this morning inviting listeners to tailgate and come enjoy the game on saturday. The marketing has been better this year, even if it still has a long ways to go.
I for one can't wait for this game -- even if it is against Temple. It's been way too long since I've seen some foosball in the Doyt.

HEY GRANT! we need an emoticon which is getting slimed old-school Nickelodeon style for saying "I don't know" on You Can't do that on Television.

Wonder if our marketing people ever thought to include the CLEVELAND/NE Ohio area (or other major Ohio areas for that matter) in receiving radio and/or TV promos on HOMECOMING etc..... BG football is carried on either of 2 Cleve. stations and has been for past 3 yrs..., but I'd like to see us promoting the school more outside the regular broadcasts. We also sponsored the HS Friday Nite score show on Ch. 5 in Cleve. a couple of yrs. ago...but don't believe that's true anymore.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:I'm bringing 3 extras with me also.

I haven't lived there for 26 years but I'm still not quite sure how to take it. What do you think Warthog?04forheisman wrote:if we served beer in the stadium(other than falcon club tent)we could get a big Putnam county draw......just tell them we are having tractor pulls or coon races after the game

Well I haven't lived there for basically 20 years, but in respect the to beer-Putnam County connection, I guess I say Thanks! Maybe if we gave out free koozies that would bring the Putnam County crowd as well. Or maybe we need to recruit some players from the four schools in the county that play football. Maybe a set of twins that could play tight end.BGFan wrote:I haven't lived there for 26 years but I'm still not quite sure how to take it. Coon races? That seems a little more Hardin County.

I wasn't taking offense to the beer drinking. With all of the Germans there most people don't have much choice!
But the coon races seemed kind of harsh. I've heard of that in Kenton but nowhere in Putnam County.
