For those not in the know, scrapple is a favored breakfast meat in our area.
Best description I ever heard was from a waitress in York, Pa.: You know how they talk about all the awful stuff that goes into hot dogs? Well the stuff that's not good enough to go into hot dogs goes into scrapple.
