Robert Redd Cut 9/17 (Re-signed 10/19) (EDIT: Cut 11/30)

Post by UK Peregrine »

Redd was released today when Philadelphia signed wide receiver Michael Gasperson to the practice squad. Former BGers just aren't having much luck with practice squads this year, other than perhaps Suisham.

Yup. He'll be kicking while Akers heals.

Michael Gasperson has size of 6'4" 220lbs. Redd's problem at wide receiver is probably size, because he certainly has the skillz.

Scott Mircowski (sp I know) was in the Chargers game the other day, filling in for someone.

Could be. The Eagles had actually been working him at DB...

I'm pretty sure Scott Mruczkowski didn't see the field on Sunday night. I was watching the game pretty closely and recall Mike Patrick misidentifing #62 Bob Hallen as #63. He later corrected himself and said Scott was not in the game but it was instead Hallen. Either way, he did make the point to say "Scott was a rookie out of Bowling Green", even if wasn't really him.

To update Robert Redd's status, he was re-signed to Philly's practice squad today.

Dude's like a yo-yo!

He must be doing something right, though, if his name is sticking in the NFL Rolodex.

Looks like they re-signed him as a WR. Hope that's a good thing after the failed CB conversion this summer.

And let the vicious cycle continue.

"Cornerback/wide receiver Robert Redd has been released from the practice squad."
