No, I don't think he would admit something like that.

But I simply cannot believe this team is as bad as some here say it is. And after 2 bowl seasons, all of a sudden the coaching staff doesn't know how to run practice??

I hope the D comes out Saturday looking for blood...and plenty of it. And I hope the whole team comes out looking to smack the crap outta anyone across the line.

I'm with you.

I keep thinking of what Spielman said during the Wisconsin game - defenders need to arrive with bad intentions. We need to fly around and hit people.

Our defense didn't carry us to two bowl victories, but it didn't hold us back, either. If it is as bad as some people here think, the only realistic reason for it to drop so quickly would be Beckman's departure. As someone who hammered Beckman pretty hard during his time here, that's a tough concept for me to swallow.

Anyone else see practice this week? I can't handle one persons negative opinion on such a hot topic. If there are others who saw practice this week or know any of the players personally, let us know what you saw or what the players are saying...

I heard the practices went well until someone fell down and got a boo-boo. After practice this week the defense players each brought in cookies while the o-squad was in charge of milk.

Purely what I heard though.

I cant believe what I am hearing. Some of you guys must only support prorams that win every week. Well stay home this weekend and cheer for Baylor and Vanderbilt, they're undefeated right now. Do you guys even understand football? And Im not talking about PS2 or Xbox. I have a lot of pride in my school and my football team. Oooooh our offense isnt the best in the mac Im sure Western Illinois and Tenn. Tech are strong D1A schools why dont you do some research that counts. My first year BG was the 2-9 season. Some of you guys are starting to sound like thoughs so called fans from that season. This is a new season. The only record i care about is that 1-0 in conf. I dont care if we win 2-0 or 100-99 a win is a win. If you are a true fan the game starts at 4. If you made comments that made our BGSU falcon football team sound like a bunch of babys dont even bother.

My prediction: BG 63-Temple 7 on a late score.

Here's my take from the start of the year (in my ultra-positive "we can be undefeated post")...

Game 4 vs. Temple: Is it October already? Are there rules about your homecoming game being your first home game of the year? Temple still has a football team? This one will be ugly, especially if it comes after a loss at Boise, with the Falcons itching to lay some smack down. Last year, BG won 70-16 in Philly, and it shouldn’t have been that close. Actually, it might have been closer, but a couple runs into the middle of the line to chew the clock late turned into touchdowns. I might head back for this game, to see old friends at homecoming, and to see how well the new scoreboard at the Doyt handles triple digits. Prediction? BG 66, Temple 17

Again, I'll stick by it. And as for the last sentence... I *will* be back for this game, although I'm not sure about the triple digit thing. Look how that worked out for Texas Tech!!!

Our offense is good period!! The D still needs work but the Falcons get it done this weekend...
