Larson, who will be in his fourth year as a starter this season, averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds his junior year, helping Mattawan to a 17-5 record and first place in the Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference's Central Division.

Seems like an average player with size we desperately need.

How many scholarships do we have for next year.

According to our roster Mawel is the only senior definately not coming back. Does that mean we have one scholarship?

Is this our scholarship?

If Steve Wright is back next year and none of the walk-ons get a scholarship, we still have one to give. That's if no one leaves. Bottom line keep looking for multiple recruits.

We have one with Larson or without Larson?

Hope he's a legit 6'9 cuz we really need to get a guy 6'10, 6'11 guy to replace Lefled eventually. If we are as athletic as we seem to be , we might get by okay.

We'll have one remaining assuming Larson actually signs (and also assuming Wright returns for a 4th year).

1 to be vacated by Soler

1 already vacated by Holland

Presumably 1 of those two will now go Larson. That leaves 1 more.

Here's hoopfactor.com on Larsen.

BG got a good player in Marc Larsen, 6-8 Big out of Mattawan, Michigan. I’m very interested to watch him this season as a high school senior. I heard one expert opine that there’s 30 other Larsens in the MAC right now. I don’t know about that. I’ve seen this legit 6-8 make post-moves with either hand out to 6-7 feet. That right there puts him on a level higher than most MAC bigs were a year before coming in to the league. With Dan Dakich coaching him and, God forgive me, his “length”… the kid has a chance – a chance – to be an all-conference type by his sophomore/junior year.
