I believe that Urban Meyer and Gregg Brandon are now tied for "Worst Loss" when measured by points.
Meyer's worst loss was yesterday against Alabama-- 31-3 (28 points).
Coach Brandon's worst loss was to Boise St--48-20 (28 points).
I'd have to say, though, that Meyer's "Worst Loss" was "worster" (sic) because of the hype surrounding the game and also only scoring 3 points.
Incidentally, Toledo's loss against Fresno St. is at least the 3rd time in the last two years that Coach Amstutz's "Worst Loss" was by more points--"worster" (sic)--than Coach Brandon's "Worst Loss".
And to switch to the other side of the coin, I'm thinking that Coach Brandon's "Best Win", measured by points, was yesterday's 70-7 win against Temple.
Of course, I'm sure that taking other factors into account, all of us would agree that this was not Coach Brandon's "Best Win". There are others that were "bester" (sic).
For the Record--"Worst" and "Worster"
