I was looking on Terry Bowden's Heisman watch... and Omar is 5th overall..
Omar Jacobs (Jr., QB, Bowling Green)
Last week: 26-of-30 (87%), 326 yds, 4 TD in 70-7 win over Temple
Season totals: 171 rating, 101-of-160 (63%), 1432 yds (T-2nd in nation in ypg), 17 TD (2nd in nation), 2 INT
Next: vs. Ohio, 6:00 p.m
Numbers alone are keeping Jacobs in the hunt, but he's putting up some scary ones.
Could this be good???

I don't see how it could hurt.

If it wasn't for our lousy D laying eggs at Boise Omar might be higher, but yeah its surprising he's even on anybody's list by now, must be the stats, and boy are they getting gaudy. :-\FalconFanKM wrote:I was looking on Terry Bowden's Heisman watch... and Omar is 5th overall..

Omar laid his share of eggs on the Boise turf as well. The defense played poorly, but the offense played just as awful. Even if the defense had played well I think that game would've hurt his chances. It was on national TV, and he looked lost for 3 quarters.falconboy wrote: If it wasn't for our lousy D laying eggs at Boise Omar might be higher, but yeah its surprising he's even on anybody's list by now, must be the stats, and boy are they getting gaudy. :-\

has it ever been brought up that the boise players wear blue shirts and blue pants? i don't even think anyone could find them on the field if they tried. i seriously think omar may have had trouble finding the d and making open passes.hammb wrote:Omar laid his share of eggs on the Boise turf as well. Yeah, that has been brought up before, but a few people that were there said it wasn't that hard to see them (but then again, they weren't making quick reads, so who knows?).patrickbg wrote:has it ever been brought up that the boise players wear blue shirts and blue pants? i don't even think anyone could find them on the field if they tried. i seriously think omar may have had trouble finding the d and making open passes.hammb wrote:Omar laid his share of eggs on the Boise turf as well. But, let us not lose sight of the fact that this game was totally the fault of the defense. Well, it wasn't so much the defense as it was the parents of the players. I mean, what kind of parents can they be when their genes don't produce 6'7" 350 lb. mosnsters. Slackers.
You, Falconboy, are tired.
