Game Music???
Last week alot of folks complained about the music, but alot of the others liked the idea of the music. It is obvious to me that the music is needed. As one thread is already debating the lack of crowd noise (I agree), there was also a lack of band music. The band has complained to get rid of the so called "canned music" and let them play. OK...they got rid of it, so PLAY!!! Geez...we had a darn competitive game yesterday and no energy. The band didn't exactly do anything to help liven things up, so bring back the so called "canned music". I actually enjoyed the noise last week. It may not have been perfect, but at least it wasn't quiet. No cannon, no music, no crowd noise???

As I said in another thread on this topic:
You can probably blame at least part of the lack of crowd energy, on the lack of students.FliccGirl wrote:They've given us an announcement script this year that we have to follow-- we're not allowed to play over scripted announcements. We don't play when there's a flag on a play or a player down either, obviously. And sometimes there just isn't enough time between plays. (I wish we could have played more, too-- at one point we were yelling at our drum major to have us play something, and he just shook his head and said, "It's not my choice.")

And the fact that we're not allowed to play during the announcements...FliccGirl wrote:As I said in another thread on this topic:

You can bet your ass we're pissed about the amount of announcements that we're not allowed to play during. You have no CLUE what I'm putting myself through to march this year and how irate I am about the way things are going this season so far with game flow. Don't you dare blame the band.

That's my logic as well.factman wrote:I don't know why the band wouldn't be able to play during the announcements, as the announcer seems to try an talk over them numberous times during the game!!!
