I'm happy to watch college football...and even happier to watch BG play an extra game or 2 at the end of the year. Whether or not this is accomplished by a 16 team playoff, the current bowl system, or a combination of both is not really a big deal to me.

If you put a gun to my head and made me choose, I would come up with something like hammb outlined. A 16-team playoff surrounded by the misc bowl matchups would dwarf every other sporting event in history. Period. Football is king in this country, and the NCAA tournament is the crown prince. Combine the two and it would be the most talked about event in the American sports landscape. Imagine BG being a part of that!Of course this is oversimplified, but I think eventually we may get there.

Meaningless aside -- MACMAN -- No need to belittle people that don't agree with you. This entire thread has been relatively meaningless to me; partly because of your childishness, but mostly because of your writing "style". I apologize, but I totally discount every single one of your opinions and ideas because of the manner in which they are presented. Sorry, but I'm probably not alone in that. If you want anybody to take you seriously, Speak like a 35-yr-old please. That is all. :D

I do lots of things like a 35 year old, speaking is one of many, as I have the gift of gab. i dont have however a very strong gift for or nack for the written language, the lord saw fit to bless in other areas. but it is you choice and that of others to discount any opinion you choose. Please do so.

That's a mature response. Definitely a way to get people to take you seriously.

Wow. Just because people are offended by my fat naked ass running down E. Wooster, I suppose I won't stop because God bestowed upon me the gift of pantslessness.

No the city keystones would do that, as BGSU students are target #1. But it would liven the place up. Heck it would be just like the tractor pull. All you would need is a wagon of beer. But then again that maybe just the disguise that would allow to pull of the job.

Party People:

As a sports fan, I love bowl season. Hey, every night for about three weeks you can go to the bar and watch a bowl game. I don't even bet and I dig these games. Maybe some say the games are meaningless but we the football fans are treated to games played with great passion. The Manute Bowl is not meaningless to the cats actually playing the game.

I'll take three weeks of football heaven over a "true" national champion. If I could have both, that would be very sweet indeed, but that may be getting greedy.
