As a pure runner, maybe Lane gets a slight edge, but PJ brings a great running game as well as receiving to the table.edr4225 wrote:i kinda like lane a little better, seems to have better gamebreaking ability.

The edge to Lane.....
Purly cuz he's not injured right now. Lane is definilty better at juking out players and has better speed. Pope is the better do-everything-player with blocking and recieving. Frankly, I think Bobby Thomas will be better than both of them.

I thought the same thing, but then I figure BJ Lane is a damn fine back that, while it wasn't due to injury, sat patiently outside the limelight for three years while PJ Pope racked up the numbers and the name for himself. He had a huge day today, is having a big year, and he deserves the props.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:This may be the most ridiculous thread I've ever seen....and that's sayin something.
My how quickly we forget....
But you're right, there's no reason PJ's accomplishments should be overlooked.

As of now Lane has the spotlight due to Pope's injury. But BJ Lane has definitely risen to the challenge and has stated a case as a RB for BGSU.
I can't wait until Pope is healthy enough to run a two-back set. I hope the coaches institute a two-back set.
But for now, I just hope Lane stays healthy and keeps on the pace he is going.
GO BG!
