miami out of nowhere...

Post by patrickbg »

after scoring 21 points in less than a minute (3 plays, 2 UA to's) miami now leads 51-23. BG will be ready for Miami.

There is no way BG loses in Oxford.

I was at the Miami game today... two different defensive teams from the first half to the second half.

First half, no one was ready, no one wanted to tackle, and it was the worst 16 minutes of college football I have ever seen any Division I team play. Six plays... 14 points... it was ugly...

then came Brandon Murphy who single handingly kept Miami in the game and carried the team into half time up...

then in the second half... no running room, no passing lanes, swarming defense, forcing bad throws, ripping fumbles free, the team just went bizerk.

things of note... Miami left at least... at least 20 points on the field today..

two dropped touchdown passes that led to no points.

one extra point missed, off the upright and landed back on the 10 yard line.

One blocked field goal

One field goal pushed right from 40

As for BG not losing in Oxford... when was the last time they won in Oxford?

Not Miami's best game yet... but this team should it win its next three... all of which should be wins... will come back to Oxford ready for a war against BG.

1996, they've lost three straight in Oxford(OH). Before that, BG won three straight at Yager(OH).

BG doesn't lose this year in Oxford.

As a previous post under Fugly said... Just because we didn't bring our A game against a weaker team doesn't mean we didn't get the job done.

By the time we roll into Oxford, PJ and Corey should be healthy to go. BJ did an excellent job establishing the run yesterday by himself. I can only imagine that he and PJ will establish a 250+ game at Yeager. Corey will hopefully bring back a bunch of completions to the team. I know there have been a lot of drops lately. We are progressivly getting better on defense.

Be Positive.
