Miami fans reporting...
That FSN will be airing the BG/Kent game on November 5:

Not sure exactly where they are getting this info, but it gives me some hope! Is there any way to get games from FSN as pay per view on digital cable? 8)

Yeah, I just realized that Nov. 5 is Homecoming here at the UofA and I have an all-access pass to the game. I may have to invest in a VHS unit...PGY Tiercel wrote:Crap,
The saturday I pick to go to my first UK game (of course at 1:00) we get a MAC game on TV. Oh well. Its good that they are getting another game picked up.

Oh thats nice, I'm paying probably 30$ a ticket for my game. Thats a little high consideriing I'm sure it will be a 49-3 beating by Auburn, but fun none the less. My dad is coming down to go to the game with me so it should be a good time, and well actually, I guess it makes the game free to me too since he's paying.Bleeding Orange wrote:Yeah, I just realized that Nov. 5 is Homecoming here at the UofA and I have an all-access pass to the game. My dad is also flying down here for the Homecoming game against UCLA, but I don't have nearly as cynical of a view regarding him as you seem to.PGY Tiercel wrote:Oh thats nice, I'm paying probably 30$ a ticket for my game. Do you also have home repairs to have him help you work on too? I suck at that stuff, so I have him come down everytime I need to get some big project out of the way. (Brain anatomy and function no problem, roofing and plumbing ee-gad.) We actually switch off on buying for games, just turns out that I paid for BG last year. Don't worry I'll get him into a really nice retirement home when the time comes (or send him to my brothers, he'll be rich 'cause he went to finance and I went into academics.)

Lawd, I put the
emoticon on there to show I was laughing and joking around. Don't roll your eyes at me.
Last I checked BG was 3-0 in the MAC.... Miami is 2-2. As such, I can only joke. Until which time as Miami smashes BG into the ground, and then wins the MAC East. Then I can be an @ss for the hell of it.

Back to the topic at hand, the thought has curiously crossed my mind that what if Krebs had a hand in the MAC/FSN picking the Kent game for TV. If rumors had been circulating that the Akron game was going to be on, what are the odds that Krebs made a few calls saying "if you're putting us on TV, make it a road game so we don't lose home fans to the couch"???
Think maybe he called in a favor after voicing his displeasure for the Fall Break home game?

i'll make the short trip across 480 to 43 to see the game in person. i'll be there with a group of five, so, if 3 more bg fans show up, we'll outnumber the kent student body 2-1.
fwiw i hate that dix, and especially the rubber bowl, are so far away from campus. in spite of kent state's pretty good bus system, kids still don't show up at games. makes it hard, i think, to get recruits interested with little to no support, and then students still don't show, and it's a vicious cycle. akron u is doing the right thing with their new stadium.

Well now...BGSU should have a pretty strong contingent at the Kent game. And the Freaks will still be having a post game celebration at the Nest in Green. BYOB and BYOM (Meat to grill! LOL) Kickoff was originally 1:30, now 2.
We need a ton of orange at that game! We need to take over Dix Stadium like we did in 2002! Kent can be dangerous late in the season at Dix. Over the years, I've seen many superior BG teams struggle to beat Kent there and we always seem to play them late in the year.
Another game to tape as well.
GO FALCONS!! BEAT WMU!!

I may go to the game that weekend, my sister goes there, so I suppose I could visit her and visit home the same weekend, while my Dad and I rub it in that OUR school beat her school and my moms school (Akron) on consecutive weeks. Dunno if I wanna make the drive alone though
