At halftime, Coach Q-Bert calls Uncle Rico to see if he play QB in the second half.
"I bet I can throw a football over those mountains!! IF coach had put me in the game in the 4th quarter, we would have taken State!"
I truly love the movie, Napoleon Dynamite.

Akron? Kent State? Tough? Those two are better than some of the others (Ball State, Buffalo, WMU), but I wouldn't lump them in with Miami and/or UT.San Diego Falcon wrote:This is the game that will get us right in all phases in preparation for four tough games to end the regular season.
Halftime:
BG 49

Blowout
BG always plays better at home so I see this as no contest. Western has an all freshmen secondary I belive. I read coach brandon saying they would like to get the passing attack back on track & I know OJ is ready for a breakout game and to redeem himself for last week. Plus the Broncos have a freshmen quarterback that will be welcomed to college football at the Doyt by our D-line, we are gonna tee off on his ass. Omar throws 4 TD passes, we get a pick 6 and roll easily. BGSU 56 WMU 13

Oh here we go again, poppin off about how big the scores gonna be, i.e., how bad Western is gonna get beat. That sort of thing is always baaaaddddd luck! Some of you were doing this with the Ball State game (BG was lucky to pull that one out), and the same thing with Buffalo last week, one of the weakest Div I teams in the country ----- and BG struggled. It will be interesting to see what your predictions are when BG travels to Oxford, Ohio. in a few weeks.

I think your right Dr. Bucko.
In the wins thus far (Temple excluded) the games were much closer than the final score would indicate at decisive moments...barely up at half against OU, Ball State took us deep into the game, Buffalo played really tough and I chalk that up to a coaching mistake for personnel used at our goal line.
So, net net, at some crucial point we managed to get the plays which gets kind of dicey depending on that to happen week in week out. Like I said earlier this week we will pull away but not before some level of (un)expected anxiety sets in. Are we playing to the level of our opponent?

BG 44 Miami(OH) 31, why?Dr. Bucko wrote: It will be interesting to see what your predictions are when BG travels to Oxford, Ohio. in a few weeks.
The day you bring me a tape of anyone in the BG locker room saying "Hey, those guys on that message board said we're going to win this game 152 to -4, we don't even have to show up!" is the day Flipper eats a bug. Again.
That said, BG wins 51-12.
"I don't believe I can name a coach, anywhere, anytime, anyhow, who did it better than Doyt Perry."
