Before we write off Temple

Post by 1987alum »

I'm sure I'll be making a lot of Temple-centric posts this week, so let this be one of them ...

Don't Take Them Lightly.

Yes, they got thumped by UT. But they also had a 10-0 lead and were only down by one TD against the spRockets in the third quarter. They did this ON THE ROAD. A series of mental mistakes (RE: stupid penalties) and missed opportunities put Tood-a-lee-doo in the driver's seat. My guess is Coach Wallace sees the positives; I'm guessing he sees the BG game as winnable. The fact that we opened as only a 6-point favorite shows many others think that way, too.

If we play our A game, we win this one in a blowout. Otherwise, it could be a dogfight.

I'm not taking them lightly. In fact, I don't take anyone lightly. I look at every team as a challenge.

Unlike, according to some people, our team, who needs defeat to wake them up.

I say we just quit and forfeit the rest of the season. Heck we lost to NIU the season is over.

'87,

I'm not taking them lightly...I took Jake to the YMCA to swim sat night and could see the TV thru the glass. When I saw the 10-0 score pop up, I was like "Oh sh*t". The Owls only trailed 24-17 in the 3rd.

BG needs to come out and take care of business...from start to finish and reestablish themselves as a team on a mission.

GO FALCONS!

Sure we can! We don't PLAY Buffalo!

Seriously, let's not all drink the Kool-Aid, eh? We had a bad game. It happened at a terrible time, but it isn't a trend unless it happens again.

With our Offense and Defense, I don't think we should take St. Mary's All Girl's School for the Blind lighty...
