Let's see if you can figure it out. I'm the wife of a Buffo. I was proposed to during the ORIGINAL tuba cheer proposal in 1992. Any proposal since has just been a copy cat. Uniform chairperson in 91 and 92, for both Fresno and Vegas. Get out your old band tapes/programs and see if you can figure it out, Halford.

But seriously, I think a Buffo resurrection is in order and long overdue. We'll certainly do our part if it's possible.

JO ANN GOOBOO BENECKE! I still remember Jeff's trembling hands when he proposed. Great times!

How are the boys?

The more I hear, the more I like...I'm sorry that I was a tad too young to even hear of BUFFO from those who had them around. (my bandmates). Anything that has been toted this highly by so many has to be worth a second chance.

Man... I remember that proposal

and Jeff's proposal

I think later on we used Jeff's during the cadences for the "insert name's a ho" part.

I still think we need to resurrect BUFFO. I think his hiatus needs to come to an end, maybe in tiem for the UT game if not by next week(Akron). Even if its just to show the members what they've missed and show the administration BUFFO can be a good thing and should be allowed once again

If BUFFO is going to return, just bringing it out of retirement without approval would do more harm than good, I think. Next year is the soonest anything would happen.

Yes. This must be planned in advance. Surprises will NOT be good - unless the greenlight is given by the band boss to have alumni BUFFO bring it back during the season.

If this idea takes off and BUFFO makes a comeback, then I'll be even more glad that I'm going to be here for a 5th year next year!!

Jeez... when did I become one of the old people?

Of course, that's a relative statement; old in the FMB, but one of the youngest bandies posting in this thread. (BTW, that was totally NOT a deliberate attempt to make the alumni feel old- I swear!! I respect my elders)

An approved BUFFO re-entry would be in BUFFO's best interest. Maybe some of the alumni can get together and talk with the man in charge.

BUFFO was told that they were on hiatus and now it is time for that to end :!:

I agree with everyone, if BUFFO is coming back, it has to be with the blessing of the administration. I think the best way for this to happen would be to get a group of alumni and current students together (particularly ones that are highly respected by the administration) and put together some kind of presentation/proposal. The current students are important, otherwise it may appear that only the alumni are interested in BUFFO's return.

I'd be willing to help with the proposal. I'm not highly repsected, but the administration knows and thinks somewhat highly of me. Just let me know what i can do to help.

BUFFO SEZ:

Post by MaggotsMaggotsMaggots »

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there...
It's BUFFO time once more!
Here's a quick little message
to tell you what's in store...

Thanks for all the offers
to help us in our "outing"
We'll be in direct contact with you soon
to minimize potential shouting.

Now, everyone seems to miss BUFFO
And THAT just warms BUFFO's heart.
Cheering on the band through poem,
shows we're very intelligent.

BUFFO will be back...
but we can't (just yet) tell you when
You'll know us when you see us
The spirit of the band will live again.

So until were back among the band,
Continue to jump, cheer, and sing
March in time and have loads of fun...
...but don't do that ___ Plume Thing.

GO GET 'EM TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
