Hello guys--
I am a student marketing intern in the Miami Atheltic Department and I have not heard anything about this supposed whoopee cushion stunt...not sure where you heard that but I'm pretty sure we're not planning on doing this...other than handing out "Beat BG" stickers I haven't heard anything like that. I could be wrong though.
And as far as the NASCAR/Indy car day-- it was Miami's Fall Break, and about 90% of the student body goes home for the weekend. The marketing department needed anything it could to draw attendance from around Butler County, and it worked as we actually had a decent crowd considering there were little to no students there.
See you guys on the 15th--

You are welcome here, but play nice.RedHawk65 wrote:Lol, I've heard nothing of this. If it propells us to another W over BG en route to a 3rd straight MAC East title, I'll "lower" myself to sitting on one of those, what is it you uncivilized hillbillies call them, whooping cushies?
Please watch your sentence structure. It's quite painful to read.

Don't worry, I usually "play nice." I was just being sarcastic for the most part anyway. I only own one polo shirt (which I've worn maybe twice, and the collar stays down), and nothing A&F. What was wrong with my sentence structure, anyway? Was it too much of a run-on for you? I could say the same to you and inform you that "nice" is an adjective, but you need an adverb when describing "play."Rightupinthere wrote:You are welcome here, but play nice.RedHawk65 wrote:Lol, I've heard nothing of this. I attempted to place an adverb in the sentence but I'm typing on a Powerbook. This computer forces me to Think Different.RedHawk65 wrote:Don't worry, I usually "play nice." Much too much for my taste. I would have thrown in a hyphen or parentheses towards the end. To wit: " - what is it you uncivilized hillbillies call them - "RedHawk65 wrote:Fair enough. What was wrong with my original post, however?
I like commas. I just don't love them.
I will also add your misnomer 'hillbilles'. Interesting that BG has one hill and that small item of relief was manufactured. I believe you are confusing us with Hemp U. where stills and weed are common.
Rednecks, swamp things, and flatlanders would have been a tad more appropriate.
Carry on, brother.

Ok, thanks for clearing all that up for me. IMHO, the only actual error that I made was my misspelling of "propels." But if the commas, bother you
, I'll edit it:
Lol, I've heard nothing of this. If it propels us to another W over BG en route to a 3rd straight MAC East title, I'll "lower" myself to sitting on one of those (what is it you uncivilized hillbillies call them?) whooping cushies.
Btw, I don't really consider you guys hillbillies. I was just joking, throwing around a steroetype, as people do with Miami.

I should have originally said that "I don't know if this is true I heard from a friend of mine that is a student at Miami" Sorry, my mistakekoheen wrote:Hello guys--
